Let’s Prepare Together!
The Lakewood/Seward Park Emergency Hub is a place for neighbors to gather after a major disaster to exchange information, identify hazards and needs, and connect with each other to share resources. We are part of a growing network of volunteer-run Hubs across Seattle with this mission:
- Encourage individual and household preparedness.
- Offer materials that make your preparedness journey clearer and easier.
- Plan and train together to collectively increase disaster readiness and resilience.
- Activate our Hub after an actual disaster, providing a vital resource for our community.
Please join us. We are all volunteers—neighbors helping neighbors, and we welcome people of all different abilities and skills.
- Join our HUB email list to get useful tips and information on free training, events, and volunteer opportunities. Email LSPCChub@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Join’ to sign up.
- Attend a meeting: we meet the first Monday of the month, 7-8:30 pm at the Lakewood Seward Park Community Club (4916 S. Angeline). All are welcome – no prior Hub experience needed!
- Visit the city-wide Seattle Emergency Hubs website. Find information and resources, live and virtual training, and locate your nearest emergency hub.
